Our oil catch cans are the latest in a line of performance parts designed to maximize vehicle performance and longevity. Made from 6061 aluminum and featuring a multi-stage oil separation system. The CORSA Performance oil catch cans work to eliminate blow-by of gas, water, oil vapors and particulates from the airpath. By reducing the impacts of blow-by, oil catch cans prevent damage to sensitive intake components and helps reduce carbon build-up on valves that over time reduce engine performance.

Like many others have commented, the instruction phots were based on a 5.3L, so the 6.2L engine is a bit different, but that's nothing to fault Corsa for. I re-used the factory fittings onto the Corsa-provided hoses at the engine, but otherwise followed the instructions for success.

Installation would seem straight forward except for two issues; instructions/illustrations don't properly apply to the 6.2 and the upper hose was too short. A quick call to customer support regarding hose length was resolved by immediate longer hose shipment. The BAD: not to nitpick but simply provide my experience. The supplied instructions/illustrations don't exactly represent the 6.2 configuration. Step 2, which is similar to my application, states to remove stock PCV line 'underneath' the throttle body. Step 3 states to remove the other end 'under' the intake manifold on the driver's side, but mine is actually on top of the throttle body. Step 4 states to connect hose 'A' on a specific side of the catch can and to the fitting underneath the intake manifold so I assume that it's the one above my throttle body. Then goes on to instruct hose 'B' connection 'next' to the throttle body, but step 2 stated underneath(?). I sent pics to customer support back in Dec but they've yet to update and probably won't at this point. Having to guess to ensure correct installation was not expected and I'm still not convinced that my install isn't reversed. The GOOD: after previous experiences I'm a firm believer in catch-cans. Especially in turbo applications and this application was no exception. After approximately 3500 miles I checked the can to find about an inch of oil. To me, that's an ounce or two that did NOT get to my intake valves! The NOT SURE: I now have a whistling coming from under the hood during small throttle inputs. Going to install the original hose to see if it goes away. If so, I'll have some troubleshooting to perform. The Next: install a drain hose and valve into the pre-tapped hole for ease of draining. Not sure whether to mount the valve at the can or at the bottom of the hose? Meaning, a lot of residual would be left in the hose after draining if the valve is mounted at the can, but it would be a lot easier to reach. Conversely, mounting down near the filter means limited access and I'll only ever drain while changing the oil, but would allow a couple more ounces to be collected before required draining. Actually, this would alleviate the need for a larger can (mentioned below). Recommendation: since there's a lot of real estate under the mounting area, a larger capacity catch-can would be welcome.
