In April of 2022 CORSA released its lineup of cat-back exhaust systems for the 14th generation of the Ford F-150; bringing a wide range of tip options, sound levels, and exit configurations to the marketplace https://www.corsaperformance.com/collections/ford-f-150 . This comprehensive exhaust collection is specifically tuned for both the 3.5L EcoBoost and the 5.0L V8 engines. The CORSA assortment covers everything from “Lightning” (front of the wheel) style exits, side exit, and even a dual rear exit exhaust setup that allows you to modify your F150 to your exact style specifications. Despite those exhaust options, one version of the F-150 was not accounted for - the Ford F150 Tremor.
The Ford F150 Tremor features a wide range of appearance and performance modifications that separate it from the other F-150 models. Most notably the rear bumper of the F-150 Tremor features cutouts in the bumper to allow for a stock dual rear exit cat-back exhaust system. While the existing CORSA exhaust offering has a dual rear exit for the F-150, that system was not developed to align the tips properly with the stock bumper cutout location on the F-150 Tremor. This singular difference between the vehicles required us to re-engineer the rear half of the exhaust system to properly fit the Tremor.
The Tremor’s unique bumper cutouts requires the exhaust system to have different mounting locations from the existing CORSA dual rear exit exhaust system. “Upon evaluation it was determined the best way to move forward with the F150 Tremor was to re-design the entire back of the system, delivering a similar but different part specifically designed for the Tremor. It was the only way to deliver a perfect fit to our consumers”, said Brent Noward Marketing Director CORSA Performance.
The engineering changes are now complete and the Ford Tremor will soon be available for purchase. A six SKU purpose-built assortment of exhaust systems specifically designed for the Tremor are expected to launch by April 1, 2023. As with the existing CORSA F150 exhaust assortment, the 3.5L EcoBoost will be available as a “Sport” sound level exhaust system available in polished and black PVD flat cut 4.0” Tips. Owners of a 5.0L V8 equipped Tremor will be able to choose from two unique sound levels “Sport” or “Xtreme” and will also have their choice of 4.0” flat cut tips in either polished or black PVD finish.
