Good Intake

Installation was simple and fitment of all the components was perfect. Huge improvement visually...read moreInstallation was simple and fitment of all the components was perfect. Huge improvement visually to the engine bay over the factory air box. Definitely the best closed air box intake option, very few closed options are available for the S197. Definitely added some of the intake suction noise and overall the throttle response feels good. I was already tuned, so I can’t speak to any actual power gains, but I’m very happy with the purchase overall.

While many are aware these aftermarket intakes are superior over factory, it goes without saying that not all are created equal. Having installed the Corsa cold air intake (49750) this past weekend, I wasn't aware just how much the difference would be over other highly advertised brands. Not only had I noticed smoother response through the lower rpm range, a consistent lower idle through cruising, or touring speeds, but an unmistakable snap of acceleration just shy of the beginning of the power band. A kind of acceleration on could only imagine if the car was somehow made lighter. I cannot express just how much this closed box air intake far exceeds the open box air intake on my previous Mustang. Corsa is seriously a product leader, that stands in front of the bigger more advertised names of companies that put advertising above their product quality. You'll never regret picking Corsa before all others.

Doesn't install like a $500 intake.

Engine cover wouldn't fit after installation, had to cut some off the air box...read moreEngine cover wouldn't fit after installation, had to cut some off the air box to clear the wire harness behind the drivers side headlight light. The intake does perform though.
